Copyright
Unfortunately, there are a selection of hymns, which are still under copyright and will require permission and even a possible fee for the hymn to be printed. All hymns, which are still under copyright, which incur costs, are paid direct to the copyright owners by you.

You may wish to check with your Church to see if they hold a CCL (Church Copyright Licence), the fees may be waived on some Hymns, please check with your Church.

All copyrights such as hymns are for 70 years, even after the death of the originator, and during that period, it is illegal to reproduce any works without permission from the copyright holder.  You will need to request permission from the copyright holder to which there is a charge of between £10.00 and £25.00. This charge is made direct to the copyright holder or even an appointed agent. To find out if a hymn is under copyright you would normally find this information at the bottom on the hymn’s page.

However, due to the age of some of the hymns the copyright probably doesn’t exist. Details can be obtained from your church.
